
Amy was admitted to the bar in 2007 and commenced practising law at Tamatekapua Law with Kelly Dixon and Prue Kapua; before moving to general practice, with a particular focus on Family and Civil law. In 2012, Amy relocated to Australia where she specialised in the areas of Family and Relationship Property Law. Prior to returning to New Zealand to join Dixon & Co Lawyers, Amy was contracted to manage and build the establishment of a boutique Family Law practice in Brisbane.
Amy has extensive litigation experience, representing clients in the Family, District and High Courts of New Zealand and the Magistrates Court of Queensland, Federal Circuit Court of Australia and Family Court of Australia. Amy is particularly interested in Relationship Property matters, including drafting Contracting Out Agreements and litigating complex and high net value matters.
Amy is a member of the Family Law Sections of the New Zealand Law Society and the Law Council of Australia. She is also admitted as a Solicitor in Queensland and the High Court of Australia and holds a current Queensland Practising Certificate.
Outside of work, Amy enjoys spending time with her family and is a trustee of her Marae Trust.
